My Approach

I take a person-centred approach, meaning I believe you have the ability to make your own decisions and can access your own inner resources to find the answers you need to move forward.

 

The relationship we build together in session is the foundation for all the work we will do. I will not judge you, I'm here to support you to make the changes in your life that you are looking for. I walk alongside you and facilitate the therapeutic process, using a range of counselling modalities, mindfulness and somatic techniques uniquely tailored to your needs.

 

The greatest benefits come from therapy through not only talking about what is going on in your life and how you are feeling but also taking action and making changes that will make your life more meaningful and rewarding. I believe we all have the capacity for growth and resilience, no matter what challenges life throws our way. And I believe that we are all capable of change if we choose it.

Sessions & Fees

Sessions run for 60-minutes - $100

If you are experiencing financial hardship please get in touch as I have space to offer discounted rates. You will need to commit to a minimum of 5 sessions to access this discount.

In-person sessions are at Aberglasslyn, NSW (Hunter Valley).

Online sessions are available if you aren't in the area or prefer the comfort of your own home. I also offer limited online sessions in the evening and some weekends.

 

You can usually secure an appointment within a week.

A referral isn't required; and as I cannot accept mental health care plans, your sessions will not be documented on your health record.

I recommend that clients come weekly or fortnightly at first. This allows us to build a solid counselling relationship, and allows you to make progress towards your counselling goals. The amount of sessions required is up to you and how quickly you are able to work through what you need to, but most clients have a minimum of 5-8 sessions. 

Payment & Cancellations

The first session is to be paid at the time of booking. Ongoing sessions can be paid upfront if booked online otherwise if you would like to pay on the day you can book with me directly with 50% payable at time of booking and 50% on the day.

 

Rebates are unavailable.

 

If you are unable to attend your session I require 24 hours' notice so that I can offer the appointment to someone else - cancellations within 24 hours may incur the full fee.
