​The therapeutic relationship is the foundation for all our work. I'm not here to judge you, only to support you in making the changes you want in your life. I won't advise you, but I may gently challenge you or provide another perspective to allow you to explore more deeply. Personal growth often involves stepping outside of your comfort zone.

Eye Movement Therapy
When we experience a traumatic or distressing event, our body will naturally go into the fight, flight or freeze response. If we have the right support and ability to cope well and work through what happened, we will find resolution to the traumatic memories and won't have lasting distress.
When we don't have full integration, the traumatic memories become ‘stuck’ or 'fragmented', and we can be left with a wide range of overwhelming symptoms like distressing images, sensations, emotions and thoughts.
For many people, this has a flow-on effect on their lives as they do their best to navigate through their experience, often developing unhelpful coping strategies and behaviours, having difficulties at work or in their relationships, and not living as fully as they would like as their sense of self, wellbeing and confidence is impacted.
Using a variety of guided eye movements and including the entire multisensory experience of distressing memories, EMIT supports the brain in completing the integration process. This allows the mind and body's natural healing responses to take place, leaving you with a balanced perspective of your experience and a new way forward.

This is not like traditional talk therapy - you don't need to tell every detail of your story, and EMIT is generally quicker and more effective than talk therapy with long-lasting results. EMIT can be used for something currently happening in your life or as far back as childhood.

60 minute sessions - $110​​​

In-person sessions are at Aberglasslyn, NSW (Hunter Valley).
​
Online sessions are available if you aren't in the area or prefer the comfort of your own home. I also offer limited online sessions in the evening and some weekends.
